I'm so excited to announce the third installment of The Joyful Bewilderment traveling exhibition curated by The Outcrowd Collective is kicking off on Tuesday July 7th at Here Shop & Gallery in Bristol. I've got new work in the show from the previous installments of the exhibit because my work sold! So, come out and see work by a truly amazing group of artists, including:

A little about the exhibit from the curators:
"The Joyful Bewilderment" showcases the work of a group of like minded image-makers. This exhibition can be seen as an expression of these artists compulsion to create. Fundamentally, the artists in the show all share an essential motivation - to explore the possibilities of enhancing everyday life by making magic from the mundane. The works in the show utilize modest and direct means - including works in pencil, paint and ink along with photographic works which record and celebrate everyday happenstances.

GIANT ROBOT 15 YEARS!!!

This weekend in San Francisco Giant Robot is having a 15 year celebration art exhibition.. I am so honored to have been asked to participate.. I remember when I was in college in Baltimore and went to Tower Records and picked up a magazine with Money Mark on the cover wearing a cowboy hat... I've been hooked ever since. Big thank you to everyone over at GR for doing what the do.. hope for another 15 years!

LA SOLO SHOW // TRAVELS IN TIME & SPACE

I've got a solo show of new mixed media pieces and letterpress prints entitled, "Travels In Time & Space" which opens on Thursday June 4th in Los Angeles at Ghettogloss Gallery. The pieces are all influenced from things like the films Solaris and 2001: A Space Odysey as well as from the records "Before The Dawn Heals Us" by M83 and "Ladies And Gentleman We Are Floating In Space" by Spiritualized. I have been a big fan of traveling in space in the the sort of melancholy ways these movies and records evoke and have combined that with my love of patterns to sort of express infinity.. an infinite sorrow & rebirth.. or something along those lines.. anyway, here's all the info :

FUCK CANCER! WE LOVE JUSTIN VAN HOY

Hello.
I worked with my friends Will, Zach & Poketo on organizing a fund raiser / emotional booster for one of my favorite people, Justin Van Hoy, who has been suffering and battling with Leukemia for quite some time now. He has just been released from being in the hospital for 3 months undergoing chemo for the 2nd time, radiation & a bone marrow transplant. Justin, and his amazing wife, Holly, are struggling physically, mentally and financially. We are organizing events for them to show our love and support all over the US, and we are organizing an evening here in Los Angeles on Friday June 5th at the Poketo Studio in downtown. We are going to have a silent art auction, featuring artworks generously donated by :

Justin is an amazing person and artist. For those of you who think you don't know him, well you actually do, Justin has worked with Shepard Fairey, was the art director of Swindle Magazine, he's worked with Roger Gastman for several years on a variety of projects including book designs to projects with Boost Mobile, he's worked on projects for DKNY, DIM MAK, American Apparel, Threadless, worked on a bunch of stuff with Mark the Cobra Snake and on and on and on...
